I didn’t set out to start a stationery brand. I set out to heal the broken me.

After years of trauma, loss, and exhaustion, I reached a point where my world collapsed. I wasn’t dying from an illness — I was dying inside. I lost my hopes, my dreams, and the will to keep going.

My childhood was steeped in chaos — growing up with a bipolar mother and a father with schizophrenia left scars that followed me into adulthood. Later in life, I faced grief that words can hardly describe — the loss of my son. My heart shattered. The dreams I had of holding him, watching him grow, vanished overnight. Every day felt like a battle between despair and survival.

I tried everything to heal: manifestation boards, vision maps, affirmations from gurus — but nothing worked. Each vision board became a painful reminder of how far I was from the life I wanted.

Then something simple changed everything.

I began leaving small handwritten notes on my wall — gentle reminders like “You got this.” “Be you.” “Find joy in today.” These little notes weren’t about wealth or success — they were about gratitude. About surviving the moment. About remembering that even in pain, there were sparks of light left in me.

As a designer, I turned these notes into art. The words became decor — pieces that reminded me of love, strength, and presence. My environment shifted, my energy lifted, and my heart slowly began to heal.

That’s when I realized: images inspire, but words transform.

Today, Pen Paper Magic creates therapeutic stationery and art for people on their healing journey — tools for reflection, self-awareness, and emotional growth.
